Khatik Swaraj Sangh was established in April 2018 in New Delhi with the presence of key figures such as Indresh Chandra Khatik, Ram Kumar Khatik, Raju Sonkar, Advocate Supreme Court, Rajendra Prasad Chetiwal, Rohit Sonkar, Harshad Ashiwal, Girindra Sonkar, Bablu Pratap Khatik, Satya Prakash Sonkar, and other prominent members of the community from different states.

A year before its establishment, meetings were held with various community organizations to discuss social development. However, it was observed that the main agendas of these organizations did not focus on the community’s progress. Many of these organizations were linked to political parties and were driven by their ideologies rather than the welfare of the society. As a result, these organizations worked hard, but their efforts benefited others rather than their own community.

Even after 75 years of independence, the community remained underrepresented in social, political, and constitutional rights, as well as in other influential sectors. After discussions with other organizations, it was realized that the development of the community was not possible under their ideologies. Consequently, Khatik Swaraj Sangh was formed with a vision to secure constitutional rights for the Khatik community and to guide them in the right direction under the teachings of the revered Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Following the principles of Dr. Ambedkar, Khatik Swaraj Sangh was established to lead a great social revolution across India. For over 2500 years, certain sections of society have oppressed, exploited, and persecuted the Dalits, including the Khatik community. Atrocities such as the killings and rapes of women have continued due to the lack of a strong organizational structure. Now, the time has come to correct the injustices of the past and provide the community with the right direction.

To address these issues, Khatik Swaraj Sangh has been formed as a social organization dedicated to uplifting the community. From now on, society must break free from ideological constraints and work for the betterment of the nation. Through Khatik Swaraj Sangh, efforts will be made to uplift and empower the community, ensuring its rightful place in society.
